We're always on the lookout for used books, records & cool stuff! If you're just looking to clear out your basement and have items you'd like to get rid of, let us know and we'll likely take them off your hands no questions asked.

Looking for a little in return? We can do that, too! We're located in Silver Spring, MD. You can come by the shop during our normal business hours, and owner Michael will take a look at what you've got. If Michael isn't in the shop when you come by, you can drop it off and he'll get back to you.

Large collection? We can come out to you if that works best. 

And to help narrow it down and save time, here's what we're really keen on, and what we'll likely pay:

• Fiction Books: contemporary literature, graphic novels, comic books, science fiction & fantasy, mysteries, young adult, horror, current bestsellers, and screenplays
• Non-fiction Books: history, memoirs, film, music and entertainment and pop culture
• Vinyl Records and CDs: College rock, 80s new wave, British invasion, indie, punk, metal, 50-60s jazz, 70s soul and 70s reggae
• Cool stuff: Videos, vintage toys and board games, concert t-shirts, 60-80s posters, action figures, movie-tie-ins, retro items and oddities and vintage magazines.

What we pay

We base our pricing on desirability and condition. Generally speaking, here's what you can expect for each category: 

• Books range between $.10-$2.00
• LP vinyl records range between $.50 - $3.50
• CDs and 45s records range from .20-$2.00
• "Cool stuff" varies to such a degree that to provide a generic price range here isn't helpful.

And in all cases, collectibles or really hard-to-find items will exceed the price ranges listed above.

Condition: Most items need to be in very good or better condition in order to be considered. For example, records and CDs should not be moldy, torn, warped, scratched or chipped. Books should not have folded pages, earmarks or writing on them.
